Currently, Da Nang has 7 medical examination and treatment facilities that are qualified to provide online public services for the entire process of issuing driver's licenses (level 4 online driver's license issuance and renewal). Hospital 199 - Ministry of Public Security located in Son Tra district, Da Nang city, along with 6 medical examination and treatment facilities in the city, perform this task.
People only need to come here for a health check-up and will be supported by the unit to perform online public services to change their driver's license, pay fees online and receive results at home via post without having to go directly to the "One-stop Department" of the Department of Transport as before.
Here, the Hospital arranges a staff and computer at the Examination Department to perform the online application submission service. The Department of Transport will receive and process online, then notify the people.
Doctor Nguyen Thi My Ly - Head of the Examination Department, Hospital 199 said: "Hospital 199 is one of the pioneers in implementing this service. After collecting all the images of old driver's licenses, citizen identification cards, 4x6 photos, in case there are no photos, the reception department will also take photos for customers.
Customers only need to complete the procedures and pay a fee of 115,000 VND. After that, a department will directly exchange the online driver's license of the Faculty working with the staff of the Electronic Information Portal of the Department of Transport. The driver's license will be issued within 6 - 10 days."
Since September 2023, Hospital 199 has provided level 4 driver's license renewal services. Up to now, the unit has supported nearly 700 registration applications for people. Because of its convenience, speed, efficiency, and short process, especially when people come to Hospital 199 for a health check-up to renew their driver's license, they can choose between a regular or high-quality examination at a reasonable cost.
Mr. Dinh Minh Phong, 38 years old, living in Ngu Hanh Son district, shared: “Issuing and renewing driver’s licenses online at level 4 brings many benefits to people. I see that it reduces procedures and documents, saves travel time as well as costs in handling administrative procedures for us people. I myself am very satisfied with this.”
The city’s Department of Transport has also encouraged medical facilities qualified to conduct health checks for drivers to provide guidance or support for people to submit their applications online. This solution also saves a lot of time for the “One-Stop Shop” staff in providing detailed instructions to each citizen submitting their application.
The implementation of online level 4 driver's license issuance and renewal in Da Nang city can be considered a big step forward in exploiting digital data to serve administrative reform, digital transformation of the work of providing, receiving and handling administrative procedures on the network environment.
