This citizen reflected that recently, he submitted an application for an international driving license through the Public Service Portal, and had paid the fee for a long time, but had not yet received a driving license.
He has contacted the Vietnam Road Administration by phone and email but has not received any response. This man suggested that the authorities consider promptly resolving his case.
Regarding this issue, the Vietnam Road Administration and the Ministry of Transport respond as follows:
After reviewing, the Vietnam Road Administration determined that the reason for the delay in issuing international driving licenses was due to technical errors in the international driving license receiving and printing system, not strict coordination with the transferee, leading to delays in the process of processing and transiving documents; at the same time, it discussed with the parties to learn from experience. The Vietnam Road Administration sincerely apologizes for this inconvenience.
According to the Department of Roads, the Department has directed relevant departments to correct and prioritize the processing of the above citizen's records.
The international driving license has been printed, handed over to the post office and sent to Ho Chi Minh City.
"The Vietnam Road Administration apologizes and will learn from experience. We hope to receive the sympathy of citizens for the above incident," the Vietnam Road Administration expressed.
Currently, the Vietnam Road Administration is handing over the management of the test and issuing a driver's license to the Ministry of Public Security. However, because the handover has not been completed, the Department of Roads still requires the Departments of Transport to continue receiving procedures for issuing and renewing driving licenses.
