On the afternoon of July 8, information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security said that after receiving feedback through the VNeTraffic application about a car going against traffic on National Highway 38, the Traffic Police Department of Bac Ninh Provincial Police directed Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 to verify, clarify and handle according to regulations.
Accordingly, on July 7, Mr. N.T. T (born 1976, residing in Tan Chi commune, Bac Ninh province), the driver of car license plate 99A-142. xx, came to the headquarters of Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 to work according to the invitation letter.
At the police station, Mr. T admitted that at about 7:25 am on June 27, when driving the vehicle to Km12+963 National Highway 38, passing through Bac Ninh province, he drove the vehicle in the opposite direction on a road with a no-riding sign.
Based on the verification results and the testimony of the violator, Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 made a record of administrative violation against Mr. T for the act of "Going against traffic on roads with no-going signs" according to the provisions of Decree No. 168/2024/ND-CP of the Government.
According to regulations, this act is fined from 18-20 million VND and 4 points will be deducted from the driver's license.
The Traffic Police Department said that recently, many violations of traffic order and safety have been recorded by people using dashcams or personal devices and sent via the VNeTraffic application. All feedback is received, verified and handled by the Traffic Police force in accordance with the law.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that traffic participants strictly comply with the provisions of law on traffic order and safety; and at the same time continue to promote the role of monitoring and reflecting violations through the VNeTraffic application to contribute to building a safe and civilized traffic environment.
