On the evening of April 22, the Hanoi Public Transport Management Center (Tramoc) informed that from April 23, 2026, Hanoi City will put 11 more electric buses into operation on route number 90.
Following that, from April 24, Hanoi continued to add 16 electric buses on routes 36 and 74. Thus, to date, the total number of electric and green-energy buses on the entire network has reached 726 vehicles, including 587 electric vehicles (30.1%) and 139 CNG vehicles on 10 routes (7.1%), accounting for 37.2% of the total number of subsidized buses.

According to the plan, by the end of April 30, 2026, Hanoi City will put 95 more electric buses into operation on 6 routes, raising the total number of vehicles using electricity and green energy to 821 vehicles, including 682 electric buses and 139 vehicles using CNG gas, equivalent to 42.1% of the total number of vehicles.
Tramoc representatives said that it is expected that by the end of 2026, Hanoi will continue to invest in replacing 30 new electric buses on 2 routes, raising the total number of electric and green energy buses on the entire network to 851 vehicles, including 712 electric buses and 139 CNG buses, accounting for 43.6%, exceeding the plan 149 conversion roadmap (20–23%).
This result shows Hanoi's determination to develop public transport in a green and sustainable direction, contributing to building a civilized and modern city.
