Hanoi - Bus operating units are ready to deploy electronic ticket cards on all routes according to the city's plan.

On the afternoon of January 9th, Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) held a summary of production and business activities in 2025, and key tasks for 2026.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam - General Director of Transerco, right from the beginning of the year, the Corporation has identified the theme content of 2025 for the field as "Improving governance - Continuing to build a culture of bus service - Performing well the task of green transformation, digital transformation", thereby offering many synchronous, practical, focused, and key solutions. Production and business operations at units are well controlled; the image and quality of vehicles and services are positively improved and maintained stably.

As a result of the implementation for the whole year 2025, the Corporation operated more than 3.2 million vehicles, equal to 95.3% of the plan. The Corporation's total passenger transport volume is estimated at about 240 million, an increase of 2.5% compared to 2024, maintaining market share and operating scale.

In 2025, the Corporation proactively piloted, completed and put into operation 63 types of electric buses on 4 routes to meet the progress according to requirements and be ready for the conversion roadmap according to plan (in 2026, the Corporation plans to convert 175 electric buses), striving to complete before 2030.

The Corporation and its member units have put nearly 300 charging stations into operation in locations that meet the conditions, meeting the infrastructure for the Corporation's green vehicle transformation plan. Continue to study expanding the business of charging stations and electric vehicle maintenance and repair stations, closely following the green transformation goals according to the policy of the Government and the city.

Clearly aware of the benefits of digital transformation, the Corporation has proactively implemented technology applications in management for many years, bringing clear efficiency, helping to streamline the apparatus, improve productivity and work quality.

In 2025, the Corporation officially introduced artificial intelligence (AI) technology into customer care in the field of public passenger transport, receiving, processing, and managing information on application platforms and compiling data upon request. The Corporation is deploying the development of an overall management software system - ERP with the goal of centralized management, automation of processes and optimizing operational efficiency" - Transerco General Director informed.

In the field of business, Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company completed preparations to deploy online passenger bus ticket sales in 2026. Hanoi Parking Point Exploitation Company applies non-cash fee collection at all parking lots and parking spots managed by the company. Newway Transport Joint Stock Company is researching and building software to operate contract transport and tourism activities. BRT Express Bus Enterprise is researching and deploying online ticket sales for business routes through domestic and international application platforms.

Regarding the direction and key tasks for 2026, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam said that bus operating units are ready to deploy the application of electronic ticket cards on all routes according to the city's plan.

At the same time, develop a roadmap, plan to arrange labor and mechanisms and policies related to employees when applying the electronic ticket card system. Prepare conditions to receive and operate 53 electric buses from the ADB project invested by the City...
