The Traffic Police force (CSGT) has strengthened the handling of trucks with extended truck beds, oversized and overloaded vehicles; many cases have been recorded, badges revoked and forced to cut off the truck bed part in violation of regulations.
Implementing the plan of Hanoi City Police, Road Traffic Police Team No. 15 promotes patrols and inspections on key routes, especially National Highway 3 - an area at the gateway with large truck traffic volume, posing a potential risk of traffic unsafety.
Recorded on April 18, at Km26 National Highway 3 (Soc Son district), the working group discovered a truck with license plate 30B-350. XX driven by Mr. S.X. D showing signs of extended cargo boxes. Through inspection, the dimensions of the cargo box were not consistent with the technical parameters in the Inspection Certificate.
Similarly, in Dong Anh district, truck BKS 29H-465. XX was also found to have a similar violation. Functional forces not only made a record of administrative violation but also requested the vehicle owner to directly saw and cut the illegal box, restoring the original design state.

Reality shows that requesting to remedy violations on the spot contributes to preventing recidivism. After being propagated, many vehicle owners have voluntarily complied under the supervision of functional forces.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Dang Hong Giang - Head of Road Traffic Police Team No. 15, the unit has coordinated with commune police to work with each transport enterprise, requesting them to sign commitments to strictly comply with regulations on load capacity.
From April 1st to April 19th, the unit discovered and handled 61 cases of violations of size limits and load capacity, with a total estimated fine of 389.7 million VND; revoked 7 badges and 4 technical safety inspection stamps.
Among them, there are 47 vehicles violating overload and 8 cases of illegally expanding the cargo boxes. The inspection work is not only limited to the size of the cargo boxes but also examines journey monitoring devices and cameras according to regulations.
Strengthening treatment from the root is considered a fundamental solution to protect the capital's traffic infrastructure, contributing to reducing accidents and building a civilized and safe traffic environment.
