On January 23, information from the Traffic Police Department, Bac Ninh Provincial Police said that at 2:28 PM on December 15, 2025, at Km 34+500 of provincial road 294D, Xuan Luong commune, Bac Ninh province, Mr. Nguyen D.K. (resident of Tien Luc commune) drove a car in the wrong lane, regardless of the clear yellow line dividing lanes.

For cars, the penalty for wrongly changing lanes applied according to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP is as follows:
- Fine from 600,000 VND to 800,000 VND: If changing lanes in the wrong places or without prior warning or changing lanes not in accordance with regulations "each change of lane is only allowed to change to one adjacent lane", except for violations specified in point g, clause 5, Article 6 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP.
- A fine of between VND 4,000,000 and VND 6,000,000 and deducting 02 points from the driver's license: If changing lanes in the wrong places or without a prior warning signal or changing lanes not in accordance with regulations "each change of lane is only allowed to change to one adjacent lane" when driving on the highway.
- Fine from 20,000,000 VND to 22,000,000 VND and deduct 10 points from the driver's license: If changing lanes incorrectly causing traffic accidents.
