According to current regulations, E10 gasoline is a mixture of unleaded mineral gasoline and fuel ethanol, of which ethanol accounts for 9-10%, the rest is mineral gasoline. This type of fuel has an Octane index of no less than 92 and is considered a solution contributing to reducing emissions and promoting environmentally friendly energy use.
According to the roadmap for deploying E10 gasoline in Vietnam from June 1, 2026, many car and motorbike users expressed concern about the compatibility of their vehicles with the new fuel. To answer this question, some large and familiar car brands to Vietnamese people have issued official recommendations.
Honda Vietnam affirms that its car lines are compatible with E10 gasoline and can operate normally when using this fuel.
According to Honda, the powertrain on the car is designed to receive E10 fuel stably, helping to maintain smooth acceleration and smooth driving feeling. In addition, the car still ensures fuel consumption at the ideal level, without affecting operating efficiency.
The company also said that the materials and details in the fuel system have been designed to meet the standard of using E10 gasoline, contributing to maintaining the durability of the vehicle during long-term operation.
Notably, Honda continues to apply the genuine warranty policy for vehicles using E10 gasoline. For the Civic Type R model, the manufacturer recommends using E10 RON 95 gasoline with an Octane index of 95 or higher.
Suzuki Vietnam
Vietnam Suzuki Co., Ltd. said that the deployment of E10 gasoline is part of the green fuel development strategy in Vietnam.
According to the company's announcement, all Suzuki car lines manufactured and distributed in Vietnam from 2001 to now can use E10 gasoline. Many Suzuki motorcycle lines have also been confirmed to be compatible with this fuel.

For some models such as Viva 110, Smash, Revo, Shogun, Amity, Hayate SC/SS, Skyride, UA125, EN150, GZ150 and GD110, Suzuki said that the car still operates stably with E10 gasoline if users complete the inspection, maintenance and periodic replacement of fuel system details as recommended by the company.
Suzuki also noted that E5 RON 92 gasoline, with a lower ethanol content, is still a suitable choice for vehicles in circulation.
Piaggio Vietnam
Meanwhile, Piaggio Vietnam affirms that all motorcycle lines being distributed by the company on the market are completely compatible with E10 bio-gasoline.
According to Piaggio, this compatibility is shown right in the user manual of each model. The manufacturer has included the recommendation to use E10 gasoline in the design standard right from the product development stage.
In addition, this company said that the i-Get and HPE engines currently equipped on many Piaggio models are designed to operate stably with biofuel.
These engines still maintain smooth operation, stable acceleration and meet strict emission standards of Vietnam as well as Europe.
Affirmations from car manufacturers show that most new vehicles on the market have been prepared to adapt to the roadmap of using E10 gasoline.
Users should still follow the manufacturer's recommendations and carry out periodic maintenance to ensure the vehicle operates stably and durablely during use.
