Information from the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security has instructed local police on vehicle registration.
All commune-level police and traffic police departments issue vehicle registration, specialized motorbikes, and motorbikes of domestic organizations and individuals headquartered in provinces and centrally run cities.
People or organizations that need to register their cars, motorbikes, or specialized motorbikes can choose to register their vehicles at the traffic police department or any commune-level police station in the province or city where they are residing or have headquarters.

Vehicles of confiscated origin must be registered at the traffic police station.
For communes with part of the administrative boundary separated and merged with many new commune-level administrative units, while waiting for the completion of population data, the vehicle registration work for organizations and individuals in that commune will be carried out by the traffic police department.
The local license plate symbols after the merger include the license plate symbols of the merged localities.
