From 1.7.2026, this type of vehicle applies the following emission levels:
CO: 1.0 g/km
HC: 0.10 g/km
NOx: 0.08 g/km
PM: unlimited
This emission standard is implemented according to Decision No. 19/2024/QD-TTg of the Government stipulating the roadmap for applying emission standards to imported, manufactured and assembled motor vehicles, including motorbikes.
Accordingly, the emission inspection roadmap for motorbikes (motorbikes, motorbikes) is as follows:
Newly imported and manufactured and assembled two-wheeled motorbikes will continue to apply this level 2 emission standard from January 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027.
Newly imported and manufactured and assembled two-wheeled motorcycles continue to apply level 3 emission standards from January 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
Newly imported and manufactured and assembled two-wheeled motorbikes will apply level 4 emission standards from July 1, 2027.
New imported and manufactured and assembled two-wheeled motorcycles will apply level 4 emission standards from July 1, 2026.
Regarding the emission standards in the decision, it is explained as follows: the emission standards (level 2, level 3, level 4 and level 5) for newly imported and manufactured and assembled vehicles specified in this decision are emission standards corresponding to the emission standards (Euro 2, Euro 3, Euro 4 and Euro 5) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the European Union (EC) Directive on approval of motor vehicle types.
