After 18 years of operation, the Nissan GT-R R35 has left many impressions in the hearts of car fans around the world. Throughout its life, the Gran Turismo-Racing (GT-R) of the R35 has been continuously refined to achieve significant improvements. With the mindset of "supercar for everyone, everywhere, anytime", the R35 is a testament to being ahead of the times and capable of surpassing sports cars with double the price on the market.
From 2007 to 2022, Nissan produced about 40,000 GT-R R35s. The R35 became so iconic that Nissan included the GT-R's engine, gearbox and AWD drive system in the Juke model, creating a Juke-R with high capacity. At the end of 2022, the Czech supercar Praga Bohema priced at 1.3 million USD (about 33 billion 195 million VND) will also use the VR38DETT engine of the R35.
GT-R also set a world record for drag racing (a format of 2 racing cars competing on a parallel lane, usually with a standard length of 1/4 miles - about 402m); surpassing mountain climbing competitions; performing drifting to register for Guinness records. The car even achieved the fastest speed for a car driven by a blindfolded driver in 2014.
Now, the GT-R R35 has officially left the track after nearly 2 decades of existence. Although this supercar is no longer in production, the legacy left by the R35 will forever be remembered as one of Nissan's most outstanding models.
