Hanoi - The subsidence phenomenon occurred after heavy rain this afternoon (July 14) on the Thang Long Avenue service road.

Many road users were surprised when a section of road (about 1m wide, 2m long - PV) in the construction barrier area on the Thang Long Boulevard service road sank, breaking the barrier.

The incident occurred at around 4:00 p.m. this afternoon (September 14), after a heavy rain.

According to the actual records of the reporter, by 5:00 p.m., the construction unit had rebuilt the barrier (about 1m wide compared to before) at the subsidence site. Vehicles move smoothly.

Talking to reporters, a worker on duty as a warning at the fence said that the incident did not cause any unfortunate accidents.

"The subsidence location is outside the embankment. Tonight we will restore the road surface," said the male worker.

It is known that this is a barrier serving the construction of the high-voltage metro project, built in March 2025.

After the fence was erected, traffic congestion often occurred in this area, especially during morning rush hour (towards the city center).

The authorities must be on duty continuously to direct traffic and regulate traffic.

It is not yet clear when the barriers will be removed and the road surface will be restored.
