According to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, car drivers will be fined from 400,000 VND to 600,000 VND for the act of not complying with the orders and instructions of traffic signs and road markings.
A fine of 600,000 VND to 800,000 VND shall be imposed on drivers who violate changing lanes in the wrong place or without prior notice or changing lanes not in accordance with regulations "each time changing lanes is only allowed to switch to one adjacent lane".
A fine of between 2,000,000 VND and 3,000,000 VND shall be imposed on drivers who violate the heading offense in places with signs prohibiting heading for cars.
If a car driver drives in the wrong way and causes a traffic accident, they will be fined from 20 million VND to 22 million VND and have 10 points deducted from their driver's license.
