The 911 Turbo Hybrid, of the 992.2 generation, will go into production in the second half of 2025, marking a major step forward for non-plug-in hybrid systems.
According to Porsche Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Lutz Meschke, the system is equipped with the same hybrid hardware as the 911 GTS Hybrid, including 1.9 kWh Varta battery cells – technology that has helped to increase the car's powerful capacity.
The unique feature of this system is its ability to significantly reduce accelerator pedal delay, helping to reach maximum torque quickly in just half a second.
In addition, the Carrera S manual transmission model will also be produced in the first half of 2025, offering a difference thanks to its pure design without the integration of hybrid technology. For the first time, a manual transmission will appear on this model line, allowing the driver to have a better experience of control and interaction with the engine.
The Carrera S's power output has been slightly improved from the previous generation's 443 horsepower to around 454 horsepower. Despite the modest power increase, the model still maintains the traditional Carrera style, catering to drivers who love pure control and driving experience.
