According to information from Toyota Vietnam, 3,591 Wigo cars with the A351LA-GBEF model, manufactured from February 13, 2023 to July 16, 2024, will be affected by this recall program.
The problem arises when drivers often step on brakes at low speeds, especially in mountainous areas, which can lead to negative pressure in the brake assistant center not meeting requirements, causing reduced braking efficiency and potential safety risks.
The program was officially implemented by Toyota Vietnam from March 18 at all Toyota warranty maintenance facilities nationwide.
Toyota Vietnam recommends that Wigo car owners should quickly bring their cars to Toyota dealers to get free software updates. The expected time for software testing and updates is about 36 minutes per vehicle.
To check whether the vehicle is eligible for recall or not, customers can access Toyota's website or contact the dealer directly. Detailed information about the program can also be found through Toyota Vietnam's online support channels.
Toyota Vietnam is committed to protecting the rights and safety of customers, and hopes to receive active cooperation from consumers so that the program can be implemented effectively and quickly.
