Hongqi has just introduced the Tiangong 05 model to the domestic market. Tiangong 05 is the second model in Hongqi's Tiangong line, a junior of Tiangong 08.
Tiangong 05 is a mass-produced version of the Hongqi E009 Concept, developed based on the electric platform of SUVs, MPVs, crossovers, sedan.
The new Tiangong 05 electric vehicle is equipped with a thin LED headlight that remains the same as the concept version. The grille is closed with a ladder-shaped design. The Hongqi New Energy logo was initially replaced with a symbolic vertical Hongqi logo, extending to the hood.
The car has a fastback design with 18-inch rims and hidden door handles. The Y-shaped LED taillights. Tiangong 05 has parameters of 4,820 x 1,915 x 1,480 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. The versions weigh 1,890 kg and 2,018 kg respectively.
Hongqi equips the Tiangong with 05 electric motors with a capacity of 282 horsepower and a lithium-ion battery pack with an optional range of 550 km or 750 km with a maximum speed of 200 km/h. The company has not yet announced the powertrain and capacity details for each battery pack.
The interior uses the main orange color, the steering wheel is designed with 2 wheels, and a large entertainment center screen. In addition, the car is also equipped with a 65-inch HUD screen and a wireless charger.
According to the plan, the Hongqi Tiangong 05 model will be launched in the first quarter of this year. The price of the vehicle will be announced at the same time as the launch.
According to the company, in 2024, the unit sold more than 410,000 vehicles, an increase of 17.4% over the same period last year.
