The two-wheeled electric vehicle market in Vietnam is having more choices, especially in the price group of about 20-35 million VND. This is a price range aimed at workers, office workers, young families and people who use motorbikes daily but want to switch from gasoline to electric vehicles without changing too many habits.
In this transition process, the travel distance after each charge is still one of the factors that users are interested in. In addition, charging time, storage space, operating capacity in urban areas and after-sales policies are also increasingly noticed.
Focus on distance and utilities
Talking to Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Chinh Quyet, representative of Technical Support and Sales department of Dat Bike (Le Van Luong street, Hanoi), said that customers using electric vehicles in urban areas often pay attention to the ability to meet daily travel needs, in which the distance after each charge is a noteworthy factor.

Currently, many customers prefer two product groups including Quantum S and ERA. Among them, ERA E2 is a new product priced from 29.9 million VND, only taking about 2 hours and 15 minutes of charging to travel a maximum distance of 200 km. The car uses a 5,000 W engine. The car has a 50-liter trunk, aimed at the needs of families and workers.
According to Mr. Quyet, Dat Bike electric vehicles use engine designs separated from the rear wheel axle on the above models. According to the company representative's explanation, this arrangement is to serve the requirements of operating performance as well as convenience in the maintenance and repair process.
Many choices in the 20-30 million VND group
In another approach, Mr. Tran Thang, sales department of a VinFast store on Nguyen Khanh Toan street, Hanoi, said that car groups from 20-30 million VND have the ability to reach many customer groups, in which working people and office workers are noteworthy customer groups.
According to Mr. Thang, factors such as usage costs, distance and warranty policies are often of concern to customers when considering switching to electric vehicles.
VinFast has also just announced three new generation Evo Grand versions including Evo Grand II, Evo Grand Premia and Evo Grand Limited. The listed prices are 25.9 million VND, 27.9 million VND and 29.9 million VND respectively, including VAT.

Evo Grand II uses an engine placed in the rear wheel, with a capacity of 2,250 W and a maximum speed of 70 km/h. The standard 2.4 kWh battery is fixed under the floor. Users can install an additional 2.4 kWh auxiliary battery with a announced price of 5 million VND; when using two batteries, the distance announced by the company can reach a maximum of 262 km in test conditions.
Along with operating specifications, warranty policy is also a factor used by manufacturers to create differentiation. In which, VinFast currently announces a warranty period of 6 years for all three car models, battery warranty of 8 years, unlimited distance.
Changes in distance, charging time, storage capacity and after-sales policy show that the competition in the mid-range electric motorcycle group is expanding from the price story to the actual usage experience. For urban users, these are also factors that can directly affect the choice of vehicles to replace gasoline vehicles.
