Department of Education and Training reviews teachers who have received benefits
Recently, Lao Dong Newspaper published a series of articles "Teachers in Son La's mountainous region petition for being "forgotten" about the regime", reflecting on the fact that many teachers in Quynh Nhai district are upset because their regime is "forgotten" when working in remote areas.
It is worth mentioning that although working in the same area, many teachers at high schools in the district have received money. In fact, nearly 1,000 teachers at all levels in Thuan Chau district (bordering Quynh Nhai district) have also received the regime. Meanwhile, teachers from kindergarten to junior high school in this district have not received it.
On November 15, speaking with reporters, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tinh - Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Son La informed that the unit has just sent a document to the Department of Education and Training (GDDT) to unify the implementation of policies for cadres, civil servants, and public employees working in areas with especially difficult economic and social conditions in the province according to the provisions of law.
The document clearly states that the Department of Home Affairs requests the Department of Education and Training to review and implement Official Dispatch No. 1044/BNV-TL dated March 11, 2019 of the Ministry of Home Affairs on policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and salary earners in the armed forces working in poor districts and districts escaping poverty in the period of 2018 - 2020 to ensure compliance with regulations.
"The Provincial People's Committee has also issued a document assigning the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committee of Quynh Nhai district to implement it," said Mr. Tinh.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Tuan - Chief Accountant of the Department of Education and Training of Son La province - said that immediately after receiving the document from the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Education and Training requested high schools to review and report back. At the same time, the Department also sent an official dispatch to the Department of Home Affairs requesting clarification of some contents regarding the conditions for enjoying the regime.
Quynh Nhai district issues document to supplement regime for civil servants and public employees
In another development, on the same day, according to a source from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Luong Thi Duyen - Vice Chairman of Quynh Nhai District People's Committee signed Document No. 3333/UBND-NV on the implementation of policies for particularly difficult economic and social areas in the district.
The document clearly states that, in order to ensure policies for those working in areas with special economic and social difficulties in the district, the People's Committee of Quynh Nhai district requests that educational and training units review and summarize the subjects in the unit who have not enjoyed policies according to Decree No. 76 of the Government, send documents and reports to the district Education and Training Department before 5:00 p.m. on November 15.
For the People's Committees of communes and districts, the People's Committees are requested to review and summarize the subjects in the unit who have not yet enjoyed this policy regime, send documents and report to the District Department of Internal Affairs before 5:00 p.m. on November 15.
The District People's Committee also assigned the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Education and Training to check and evaluate records, summarize the subjects who have not yet enjoyed the policy regime and report to the District People's Committee on November 17.
Previously, during a working session with reporters, a representative of the Department of Home Affairs of Son La province informed that according to Decision No. 275 dated March 7, 2018 of the Government, Quynh Nhai district is one of the districts that escaped poverty in the period of 2018 - 2020.
However, Decree No. 76 on the implementation of policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and salaried employees in the armed forces working in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions took effect from December 1, 2019. Thus, many teachers in Quynh Nhai may not be eligible for this Decree.
Regarding the proposal that high school teachers in the same area are entitled to a one-time subsidy when leaving a difficult economic and social area while other levels are not, Mr. Tinh informed that the Department of Home Affairs will request the Department of Education and Training to review the beneficiaries to ensure the implementation of a unified regime and policy in the area, ensuring fairness and compliance with the law.
