On July 8, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "Competition for site clearance for the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway project has not been completed", reflecting that people in Na Phai village, Na Sam commune, Lang Son province have not received enough compensation for site clearance for the expressway project in the border area of Lang Son.
Mr. Ha Van Du - Head of Na Phai village - said that in early 2025, the local government and related units came to propagate and mobilize people to hand over the land to serve the expressway project. 45 affected households have agreed to receive 50-70% of the compensation in advance and urgently relocate their houses, livestock, and build temporary houses to give up land for the project. The leaders of the People's Committee of Van Lang district (before the merger) also committed to the people to pay the remaining amount before June 30, 2025.
On July 11, speaking with reporters, Mr. Do Minh Tuan - Chairman of Na Sam Commune People's Committee (former Vice Chairman of Van Lang District People's Committee) - said that immediately after receiving the people's feedback, the Commune People's Committee publicly apologized for the delay in paying compensation for site clearance. At the same time, the commune has urged relevant units to promptly complete the payment.
After the merger of communes, the leaders of the Van Lang District Land Fund Development Center (now the Van Lang District Land Fund Development Branch) were transferred to the new Hoang Van Thu commune, leading to the payment not being able to fulfill the commitment.
Currently, the Lang Son Provincial Land Fund Development Center has sent an officer to replace and take over the work. It is expected that the payment will be made in the next few days and completed in July, said Mr. Tuan.
According to the People's Committee of Lang Son province, the Dong Dang (Lang Son) - Tra Linh (Tra Linh) expressway project, the section passing through Lang Son province, has handed over 451.6/458.4 hectares, reaching about 98% of the area.
However, there are still some problems, including: 6.81 hectares of the main route have not been handed over; 5 locations of technical infrastructure have not been relocated; and 3 locations of landfills have not been cleared.
The Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway project is 93.3 km long. The total investment in phase 1 is 14,331 billion VND. This route plays a particularly important role in connecting the traffic axis of the northern border gate.
