Removing obstacles at railway crossings
On April 9, Lao Dong e-newspaper published an article "Road worth more than 560 billion VND entangled in level crossings, not yet able to be fully exploited in Ninh Binh". The article reflects the fact that provincial road 485B, although completed in 2024, still cannot be fully exploited due to problems at the intersection with the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line (section passing through Thanh Loi commune, Vu Ban district, former Nam Dinh province; now Truong Thi ward, new Ninh Binh province).
In April, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters recorded that at the intersection of provincial road 485B and the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line (Km94+250), this area is still barricaded. Some vehicles moving from the Kinh Lung ferry direction (Left bank of the Dao River) here are forced to turn around and find other routes to get out.


Regarding the above issue, a representative of the Ninh Binh Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2 said that the Km94+250 location has not opened the level crossing to synchronously exploit provincial road 485B because not far away, at Km93+893 is the level crossing for people crossing the railway that has not been closed.
Provincial Road 485B officially operates synchronously
After a period of promoting propaganda, mobilization, and dialogue with the people, by May 14, the Km93+893 position, which is the level crossing for people crossing the railway, was closed and the Km94+250 position was opened for the provincial road 485B to be operated synchronously.
Accordingly, at the location of Km 93+893 of the old level crossing, install wavy corrugated iron fences from Km93+885. 5 to Km93+900. 5, along the railway direction 15m long; the current level crossing width is 8m.



People traveling through provincial road 485B expressed their excitement when the road was exploited synchronously after a long period of interrupted traffic. According to people, opening the barrier helps travel and transport goods more conveniently, no longer having to go around long roads as before.
Providing more information to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, a representative of the Ninh Binh Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2 said that putting the new level crossing at Km94+250 into operation not only contributes to ensuring railway traffic safety but also opens up more favorable conditions in traffic connection, promoting socio-economic development, and strengthening regional linkages.
