The products that the above 7 enterprises voluntarily reclaimed include sunscreen, shower gel, cleanser, such as shower gel imported from some countries such as Korea, Japan, France, etc.
The general characteristic of the reason for revoking these receipts according to the Department of Drug Administration is that the enterprise has a document requesting voluntary revocation.
According to the regulations, the number of publication receipts with the value certification value has been declared by the organization or individual to bring the product to the market to the market to the competent authority that cosmetics will be circulated in the market. This number does not have the value certification of that product to ensure safety and efficiency, meet all the requirements of ASEAN Cosmetics Agreement and attached annexes (ANNEXES).
The receipt number of the cosmetic product declaration form is valid for 5 years from the date of issuance. These are revoked when organizations or individuals put products on the market with a written request for revocation or cosmetics that violate regulations.
In 2024, the Drug Administration of Vietnam has recalled 500 receipts for imported cosmetics that businesses voluntarily requested to withdraw and more than 100 for violating regulations.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam also affirmed that even though the enterprise has withdrawn the receipt number, if the product shows signs of violation, the authorities can still handle it according to regulations.
