On January 9, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Health held a ceremony to summarize and award the 2nd National Press Award "For People's Health".
Speaking at the closing and award ceremony, Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen - Deputy Minister of Health - said that more than 600 works and more than 1,000 authors participated in the 2nd National Press Award "For People's Health" which is an important proof affirming the interest and support of journalists and press agencies for the health sector.
The entries have closely followed major topics of the health sector. Many entries have been fully invested in both content and form, demonstrating the dedication and responsibility of journalists, such as the fields of organ transplantation, vaccination, bidding, drug procurement, etc.
In particular, many new topics have been invested in and exploited, reflecting quite comprehensively and deeply on the medical field, thereby contributing to further connecting the companionship of reporters and journalists with the cause of protecting, caring for and improving people's health.

In addition, the participation of many authors from many provinces and cities across the country shows that the second national press award "For People's Health" has become an award that receives the response and recognition of reporters, journalists and press agencies nationwide.
In particular, the outstanding works in the medical field selected for awards today are a timely source of encouragement and support for press agencies and journalists writing about the medical field," the Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association emphasized.
The Organizing Committee awarded 59 winning works, including: Each category of print, electronic, radio and television had 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes. The category of photojournalism had 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes. In addition, the Organizing Committee decided to award 5 thematic prizes and 1 prize for works of special significance.
At the ceremony, authors Le Tuong Van, Le Thanh Ha, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Pham Vu Linh - a group of reporters from Lao Dong Newspaper were awarded an encouragement prize for the 3-part series: "Doctors in difficult areas".
First prize in the print category is a series of 4 articles: Infiltrating a kidney buying and selling ring in Ho Chi Minh City (Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper).
The first prize in the electronic newspaper category is a series of 5 articles: "Guidelines" for "medical gatekeepers" to build a healthy Vietnam (Vietnamplus electronic newspaper - Vietnam News Agency).
First Prize in the television category is the work: Don't let go (VTC14 TV channel)
First prize in the radio category is a series of 3 articles: Financial autonomy in healthcare: Need to understand correctly to do it correctly (VOV 1 News Department, Voice of Vietnam).
