On July 25, the Food Safety Department - Ministry of Health announced a proposal to temporarily suspend the circulation of goods with the batch of Apiroca-B health protection food products ( batch number 0335001, production date 26.3.2025, expiration date: 26.3.2027) of Apimed Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Phu Tho Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
The product is produced by Apimed Pharmaceutical Factory - Branch of Apimed Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company. This batch of products has been suspended from sale, circulation and use since July 22.
Regarding the reason for temporarily suspending the above functional food batch, the Food Safety Department said the reason was due to poor product quality, specifically the test results showed that the vitamin B2 ( Riboflavin sodium phosphate) content reached 86.9 mg/tael.
Meanwhile, the packaging of this product contains vitamin B2 of 15 mg/tael.
At the end of May, the Food Safety Department inspected the implementation of food safety regulations at Apimed Pharmaceutical Factory. The Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Public Health conducts product sample testing.
The Food Safety Department requires Apimed Pharmaceutical Factory - Branch of Apimed Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company to take measures to handle and overcome the situation within 7 days.
The above product is only allowed to continue circulating if it has met the requirements and has been notified by the inspection agency.
