Da Nang City currently has a fairly complete health system with many specialties and modern techniques, not only meeting the needs of medical examination and treatment for the city's people but also meeting the needs of medical examination and treatment for people in localities in the region. Many health indicators of the city are at a high level compared to the whole country.
In addition, the city's health sector has synchronously implemented many solutions to improve the quality of health services and health care for people, especially focusing on grassroots health care; thereby, the health indicators of the city's people have been significantly improved, the average life expectancy of Da Nang people in 2024 will reach 76.3 years, higher than the national average.
To honor the efforts of the medical team, the People's Committee of Da Nang City has awarded the "White Blouse Shine" award to doctors and nurses who directly care for, treat patients and carry out community health work.
In particular, this year's "Shining White Blouse" award honored an ambulance driver at Son Tra Emergency Station, because in 2024, driver Huynh Xuan Lam supported the on-duty team to save the life of a male patient with an initial diagnosis of cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest due to electric shock.
This was a very serious case, seemingly without hope, but with the determination of the emergency team that "raced" with time, driver Lam climbed onto the corrugated iron roof and brought the patient to the ground, conducting emergency care. Every minute and every second, Lam driver and the emergency team conduct emergency care and transfer the patient to Da Nang Hospital.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, on behalf of the city's leaders, expressed his gratitude for the contributions, efforts, and dedication of doctors, nurses, officers, civil servants, public employees, and employees of the entire city's health sector in the past time.
