Another BSGD clinic put into operation
Can Tho Department of Health informed that Co Do Commune Health Station has just put into operation a family medicine clinic according to the principle of family medicine. Thus, up to now, the Can Tho Department of Health has coordinated with localities to launch and put into operation 8 family medicine clinics in the city.
It is known that the predecessor of Co Do Commune Health Center is the District One-Funktion Health Center, with a general clinic operating since 2022. The station currently has 21 positions, including 6 doctors, testing technicians, X-Quang technicians, university pharmacists, nurses, etc.
The station is equipped with biometric testing machines, blood formula, ultrasound machines, electrocardiogram measuring devices, X-ray machines, artificial intelligence cervical cancer screening technology... basically meeting the needs of medical examination and treatment in the locality.

According to the leader of Co Do Commune Health Center, to make the family medicine clinic operate effectively in the coming time, the station will strengthen coordination and receive support from the Thoi Lai regional health center and upper-level hospitals in professional work; continue to improve the quality of medical examination, administrative reform, and service attitude towards patient satisfaction.
Mr. Hoang Quoc Cuong - Director of the Department of Health - also said that the Department of Health is committed to working with localities to continue supporting equipment and training to improve the capacity of family medicine clinics, remove difficulties, in order to build a family medicine clinic brand.

According to the orientation of the Can Tho Department of Health, the development of family medicine clinics helps people access high-quality medical services right from the grassroots health sector; improves the quality of medical examination and treatment; screening for diseases, reducing overload for hospitals at all levels, reducing costs for people.
Positive feedback
At Thuong Thanh Health Center, the family medicine clinic has been in operation for more than half a year and is gradually improving its effectiveness, receiving more and more positive feedback from patients.
Coming here to see a doctor, Mr. Pham Van Nam waited for less than 10 minutes and was called by the doctor to ask for detailed questions about his condition, electrocardiogram measurement, ultrasound and all were free.
Mr. Nam said: "After the examination, the doctor discovered that I had more small stones, but the temporary orientation should not be to affect because I am old, I should only monitor them moderately. Through the discussion, I was very satisfied and had confidence in the doctor because he was impressed and gave me reasonable advice."
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien (born in 1954) also expressed, "We thought we were going to a private clinic for examination, which means that in a positive way, we were cared for and monitored by a doctor near our home."
