On July 3, information from the Thai Nguyen Provincial Department of Health said that in June 2025, the whole province recorded 141 cases of COVID-19, 25 cases of suspected measles, 22 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, 6 cases of dengue fever and 1 other case of tetanus.
Compared to last month, many infectious diseases tend to decrease. Dengue fever decreased by 1 case, measles decreased sharply by 80 cases, hand, foot and mouth disease decreased by 68 cases.
However, the number of COVID-19 cases increased by 54 cases and another case of tetanus appeared. Other infectious diseases did not record significant changes.
Compared to the same period in June 2024, most infectious diseases have increased. Dengue fever increased by 4 cases (2 cases in the same period last year), measles increased by 25 cases (no cases in the same period), hand, foot and mouth disease increased by 14 cases, COVID-19 increased to 116 cases (the same period only recorded 25 cases).
Recorded 1 more case of meningitis caused by brain motocles, the disease did not appear in the same period last year.
From the beginning of the year to the end of June 2025, the whole Thai Nguyen province had 23 cases of dengue fever (higher than the same period last year, 7 cases), 112 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease (nearly three times the same period), 216 cases suspected of measles (in 2024, 6 cases of measles and 4 cases of rubella were recorded), 4 other cases of tetanus, 229 cases of COVID-19 (an increase of 100 cases compared to the same period) and 1 case of meningitis due to cerebral Shelter.
Although the number of cases of many infectious diseases increased compared to the same period last year, there were no deaths recorded in June.
The health sector will continue to closely monitor the epidemic situation, step up propaganda, raise awareness of disease prevention and proactively take response measures to prevent the epidemic from spreading.
