On June 3, information from Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that it had just issued a document directing the Provincial Police to urgently investigate and strictly handle the case of medical staff being assaulted at the Emergency Department, Nghe An General Friendship Hospital, and at the same time requested a comprehensive review of security work in medical facilities.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee assessed this as a serious violation of the law, which needs to be condemned and strictly handled by society. The patient's family members' assault of medical staff not only causes disorder at the hospital, affecting medical examination and treatment but also negatively affects the health, spirit and working motivation of the medical team.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Police to direct professional units to urgently investigate, clarify, and completely handle the case in accordance with legal regulations. At the same time, the Department of Health is required to promptly encourage affected medical staff, especially female nurses being treated after the assault; direct the review and adjustment of medical examination and treatment procedures and plans to ensure security and order at medical facilities.
Ms. Le Thi Hoai Chung - Director of Nghe An Department of Health - said that immediately after receiving the information, the Department reported to the provincial leaders and the Ministry of Health. The view of the Minister of Health and the provincial leaders is to clarify and strictly handle the case, ensuring the environmental and civilized hospital environment.
Leaders of the health sector directly visited Nghe An General Hospital to grasp the situation, visit and encourage the team of doctors on duty, especially the staff being assaulted. At the same time, it is required to continue to thoroughly educate medical staff and employees who practice good medical ethics, and clearly explain to patients' families to limit misunderstandings and conflicts arising during the medical examination and treatment process.
We hope that people will understand and share the environment and the specific nature of the hospital, so that the medical team can perform the task in the best way, said Ms. Chung.
