Hau Giang Provincial Police informed that on the evening of December 22, 2024, a traffic collision occurred between two motorbikes at Cai Tac intersection in Tan Phu hamlet, Cai Tac town, Chau Thanh A district.
Although the local police force arrived at the scene to regulate traffic and wait for the authorities to come and handle the situation, Tu Van Thao (born in 2000, Tan Phu hamlet, Cai Tac town, Chau Thanh A district) lured 8 other people to the scene to use weapons to cause trouble, using available objects near the scene such as helmets, glass cups... to injure people present at the scene, whom the group suspected were relatives of the traffic accident victims.
The consequences left 3 people injured and hospitalized, with a total body injury rate of 33%.
The incident took place in a public place, while the police were on duty, but the subjects showed hooliganism and disregard for the law, so they must be dealt with strictly, in accordance with the law, to deter and educate the public.
