Responding to people's questions about the information about the sale of "diplomatic fees, internal fees" for social housing appearing on social networks in recent times, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan - Deputy Head of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Hanoi City Police - said that this is an issue of special concern to the leaders of the City Police and has directed units from the commune level to professional departments to strengthen the review, detection and strict handling.
A representative of Hanoi City Police affirmed that through inspection, the authorities have not recorded the existence of any "diplomatic" or "internal" "exones as advertised by the subjects on the internet. The process and procedures for reviewing and drawing lots for social housing are now being carried out publicly, transparently and equally for all citizens in accordance with regulations.
However, on social networking platforms, there are currently many fake accounts appearing, posting information about "diplomatic fees", "priority fees", along with offers to pay reservation fees, difference fees, or "guarantee winning houses according to wishes". Many subjects also take advantage of people's lack of information, fabricating "related relationships with leaders" to lure and appropriate people's money.
"Hanoi City Police determined that this was a violation of the law, showing signs of fraud and property appropriation" - Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan said.
The authorities have advised people to be absolutely vigilant against unofficial sources, especially on Facebook and Zalo. People need to carefully study legal regulations, only submit documents through channels of state agencies and investors; Absolutely do not transfer money through brokers, intermediaries or "external fees" not included in regulations.
Hanoi City Police recommends that people who discover signs of selling quotas, illegally collecting money or selling social housing in any form should immediately report to the nearest police for timely reception and handling. Subjects or businesses that are not functional but have received money in violation of regulations must urgently return it before the authorities investigate.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized that social housing can only be sold to the right subjects, according to standards and according to procedures. All acts of buying and selling shares and transferring illegally are strictly prohibited by law and will be handled.
