According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, early this afternoon, December 3, the center of the tropical depression was located in the Dak Lak - Khanh Hoa sea area. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6, gusting to level 8. The tropical depression is moving west-southwest at a speed of 15 - 20km/h. Bach Long Vi station has strong northeast winds of level 6.
In the late afternoon and evening of December 3, the Dak Lak - Khanh Hoa sea area will have strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 8, rough seas; wave height of 2 - 4m.
On the night of December 3 and December 4, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) will have winds of level 6 - 7, gusts of level 8 - 9, rough seas; wave height of 3 - 5m.
The Gulf of Tonkin will have winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8, rough seas; wave height of 2 - 4m; tomorrow the wind will gradually decrease.
The sea area from South Quang Tri to Quang Ngai and the northern sea area of the central East Sea will have winds gradually increasing to level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8, rough seas; wave height 2 - 5 m.
In addition, on the night of December 3 and December 4, the sea area from South Quang Tri to Ca Mau will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 6 - 7.
On the night of December 4 and December 5, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) will have strong northeast winds of level 6 - 7, gusting to level 8 - 9, waves 3 - 6m high, rough seas.
The northern sea area between the East Sea and the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau will have strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8, waves 2 - 5 m high, rough seas.
The Gulf of Tonkin and the sea area from South Quang Tri to Quang Ngai will have strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7, waves 2 - 4 m high, rough seas.
The meteorological agency warns that the level of natural disaster risk at sea is level 2; the Dak Lak - Khanh Hoa sea area in the late afternoon and evening of December 3 is level 3.
All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and large waves. Coastal areas from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa should be on guard against high tides combined with large waves causing overflows of dykes, flooding coastal roads and coastal erosion.
