Previously, Mr. P.H.T (born in 1992, residing in block 1, Vinh Dien ward) reported to the police about a thief breaking into his private house at night and taking away many properties.
According to Mr. T, at around 11pm on April 19, he locked the door to sleep but forgot to close the windows on the second floor. The next morning, seeing the main door open, he checked and discovered that two laptops, a mobile phone and some jewelry were missing. Estimated damage is nearly 100 million VND.
Immediately after receiving the information, Vinh Dien Ward Police deployed two working groups to coordinate with the professional departments of Quang Nam Provincial Police to investigate. One team examined the scene, the other team focused on reviewing and extracting data from the security camera system of the area as well as the people.
Using professional measures, the authorities quickly identified the suspect as Tran Duc Linh and arrested him. At the police station, Linh admitted to all of his crimes.
Urgently searching the subject's residence in Binh Quy commune, the police seized many exhibits related to the case. Notably, Tran Duc Linh has 2 previous convictions for "Theft of property" and 1 previous conviction for "Robbery". The new subject completed his prison sentence in 2023. Through a quick test, Linh also tested positive for drugs.
The case is being further investigated, clarified and handled according to the law.
