On June 16, Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinated with professional units to urgently verify and search for the driver involved in a serious traffic accident that occurred on Kinh Duong Vuong Street (An Lac Ward, Binh Tan District), causing two deaths and one serious injury.
Through initial investigation, the vehicle causing the accident was a Jeep with license plate 51K-314.xx. This car is under the name of Mr. L.H.T (45 years old, living in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City).
Mr. T's side confirmed that the Jeep with license plate 51K-314.xx was indeed registered by him. However, Mr. T said that he had issued a permit to use this vehicle to another person more than a year and a half ago and confirmed that he was no longer managing or using the vehicle.
Previously, at around 6:30 p.m. on June 15, the Jeep traveling on Kinh Duong Vuong Street suddenly dropped the median strip, crashed into the motorbike lane and collided with many passersby. The vehicle only stopped when it dragged a motorbike under it and crashed onto the sidewalk.
The accident caused Ms. N.T.T (50 years old) and her biological mother, Ms. T.C.D (72 years old, both living in Tan Binh District) to die on the spot. Another seriously injured man is being treated at the hospital.
After the collision, the two people in the car left the scene. The police are currently continuing to collect data, extract security cameras to identify the driver and handle according to legal regulations.
