The Hanoi People's Committee has just approved the 2025 land use plan of Gia Lam district with a total of 131 projects, covering an area of 714.33 hectares. This plan aims to meet the needs of sustainable development and improve the quality of life for local people.
In the list, the highlight is the project to build the right-hand dyke road from Doc Loi - Dang Xa to Le Chi commune with an area of 44.5 hectares, which is expected to improve traffic capacity and enhance regional connectivity. The service road project from Thanh Tri bridge to Phu Thi overpass with an area of 12.25 hectares is also an important highlight.
Gia Lam district focuses on education development with projects such as the construction of Co Bi Secondary School (1.63 ha), Kim Son Kindergarten (0.95 ha), and Yen Vien Primary School (0.79 ha). These projects not only improve educational infrastructure but also meet the increasing learning needs of the people.
In addition, Gia Lam also focuses on landscape and public works, typically the project of the park, flower garden, lake in front of the headquarters of the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Gia Lam District (14 hectares) and the renovation of the pond of Yen Ha residential group, Yen Vien commune (1.34 hectares). These projects will create green space, improving the quality of life for residents.
The district also implemented other major projects such as infrastructure for the resettlement area north of Duong River (7.44 hectares), renovation of the left-bank Duong dike road from Duong Bridge to Phu Dong Bridge (21.11 hectares) and the road from Dang Phuc Thong Street to the land auction area of Yen Thuong Commune (1.92 hectares).
Gia Lam District People's Committee is responsible for publicly announcing the plan and closely monitoring the implementation process to ensure feasibility and effectiveness. In case of new projects, the district will synthesize and submit to Hanoi People's Committee for additional approval, promptly meeting development needs in 2025.
