Ho Chi Minh City exempts construction permits, people are waiting

Hai Phong plans to start a series of VND9,154 billion projects by the end of 2025
Of the 43 key projects, 14 projects using budget capital worth more than VND 9,154 billion are expected to start construction by the end of 2025.

On August 13, news from the Hai Phong City People's Committee said: According to the direction of the Chairman of the City People's Committee, to complete the socio-economic development targets for 2025, the city has determined that the task from now until the end of the year is to focus on monitoring and inspecting the progress of projects and production and business activities of investors; promptly removing difficulties and obstacles, supporting each enterprise and each project.
Of which, Hai Phong has included 43 infrastructure development and economic development projects in the list of key projects directed by Hai Phong City. Of these, 27 projects will start construction in 2025 and 6 projects will be implemented from 2024 onwards, 10 projects will be completed during the year.
For the 27 projects started in 2025, 14 use budget capital, 13 projects use non-budget capital. Projects using budget capital have a total investment of more than VND 9,154 billion, with 3 projects implemented in the East of Hai Phong (in the old Hai Phong city) with a total investment of more than VND 1,246 billion; 11 projects implemented in the West of Hai Phong city (in the old Hai Duong province) with a total investment of more than VND 7,907 billion. Relocating nearly 5,000 houses along canals in Ho Chi Minh City to beautify the urban area
Binh Dong Ward (HCMC) proposed a specific mechanism to implement 6 urban renovation projects, relocating nearly 5,000 houses along canals.

Reporting at the Party Congress of Binh Dong Ward (HCMC) on August 13, Mr. Giang Tuan Phat Dat, Head of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Affairs Department of Binh Dong Ward, said that in the period of 2026 - 2030, the ward will focus on implementing 6 compensation and resettlement support projects in areas along canals.
Of which, it is expected to relocate 4,767 houses, with a total clearance area of about 598,517 m2, with a cost of about VND 31,149 billion, from the Ho Chi Minh City budget.
Notably, for the compensation, support, and resettlement project to renovate urban areas in the Nam Kenh Doi bank area, Binh Dong ward will relocate 2,905 houses, with a budget of about VND 23,896 billion. See more...
