Accordingly, the retail price of clean water produced and supplied by the Ha Tinh Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation to households using water for domestic purposes with a consumption level of less than 10m3/month is 5,750 VND/m3; from 10m3 to 20m3/month is 7,190 VND/m3; from 20m3 to 30m3/month is 8,630 VND/m3 and over 30m3/month is 10,790 VND/m3.
Clean water price for administrative agencies, public service units, schools, hospitals, medical examination and treatment facilities, public service facilities, armed forces and security is 8,630 VND/m3.
The price of clean water for organizations and individuals producing materials is 10,790 VND/m3 and the price of clean water for organizations and individuals doing business and providing services is 15,820 VND/m3.
Retail price of clean water for domestic use does not include value added tax and does not include environmental protection fee for domestic wastewater.
Before this increase, the clean water price of the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation of Ha Tinh province was temporarily approved by the Provincial People's Committee in 2015 but has not been adjusted for nearly 10 years.
According to a Center leader, most rural customers consume less than 10m3 of clean water per month, so the price increase of VND5,750/m3 does not greatly affect the social security policy of rural people.
The increase in clean water prices of the Ha Tinh Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation contributes to offsetting the costs of price increases, in line with the trend of socio-economic development.
