On the morning of August 14, the leader of Hong Loc Commune People's Committee said that recently, the locality has received complaints from some households about the leaky clean water they used from Cu Lay Water Plant (located in Tung Loc Commune).
Most recently, on the afternoon of August 13, the family of Ms. Cu Thi Hue (Trung Son village, Hong Loc commune) discovered a live child, about 2cm long, in water while discharging water from the water pipe into the pot.
That same afternoon, village and commune officials went to Ms. Hue's house to grasp the situation and at the same time notified the representatives of Cu Lay Water Plant and the Ha Tinh Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation to know about the handling to ensure that the water supply to each household meets quality standards and ensures hygiene.
After receiving the report, the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation of Ha Tinh sent staff to grasp the situation and clarify the cause.
Also on the afternoon of August 13, Cu Lay Water Plant announced the temporary suspension of clean water supply to check and fix the problem of mold appearing in clean water.
The announcement stated: Currently, some households in Trung Son and Thuong Phu villages of Hong Loc commune have reported the quality of clean water provided by Cu Lay Water Plant to households in Hong Loc commune.
Cu Lay Water Plant will coordinate with relevant parties to focus on inspecting and fixing the problem and conducting discharge on the entire water supply system in Hong Loc Commune.
After completing the inspection and fixing the problem, Cu Lay Water Plant will provide water stably again and notify local authorities and customers.
