The People's Council of Ben Tre province has just issued a Resolution to abolish the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council on approving the policy of proposing investment projects for new urban areas in Ben Tre province.
According to this resolution, the People's Council of Ben Tre province has officially abolished 20 resolutions related to the investment proposal policy of 20 new urban area projects in many localities such as: Ben Tre city, Chau Thanh district, Binh Dai, Cho Lach, Mo Cay Bac and Mo Cay Nam.

In Ben Tre City, 11 projects have had their investment proposals canceled, including: An Thuan New Urban Area, Ben Tre New Urban Area - Ecological Urban Area (Eco' Park), My Thanh An New Urban Area, Dong Khoi New Urban Area, Phu Hung New Urban Area, New Urban Area South of Ben Tre City, Phu Nhuan New Urban Area, New Urban Area West of Ben Tre City, Ham Luong New Urban Area, Dong Phu Khuong New Urban Area and Binh Phu New Urban Area.
In Chau Thanh district, 3 projects have had their investment proposals canceled, including: Ben Tre Gate New Urban Area, Chau Thanh Town Center New Urban Area and Ba Lai 2 New Urban Area (Chau Thanh Town).
In Binh Dai district and Cho Lach district alone, projects whose investment proposals have been canceled include: Ba Nhut urban area and Binh An new urban area.
In Mo Cay Bac district, 2 projects have had their investment proposal canceled, including: Phuoc My Trung New Urban Area and Tan Thanh Binh New Urban Area. In Mo Cay Nam district, there are 2 projects whose investment proposals have been canceled, including: New urban area, Quarter 3 (Mo Cay town) and New urban area, Mo Cay town.
Previously, on May 29, Lao Dong Newspaper published information: "A series of suspended urban area projects in Ben Tre are about to be erased" reflecting on the fact that many urban area projects in Ben Tre have been suspended for many years, seriously affecting people's lives. The provincial government has proposed to abolish a series of projects to remove obstacles and unlock development resources.
