Da Nang starts construction of a series of trillion-dong technology infrastructure projects

Da Nang - The city has started major projects such as IDC International Data Center, Viettel High-Tech Building, and Coastal optical cable station.

On July 9, the Steering Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee held a meeting to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation and Decision No. 204 dated November 29, 2024 of the Central Party Secretariat on Approving the Project "Digital transformation in Party agencies".

According to the report of the Da Nang City Party Committee, in the first 6 months of 2025, Da Nang City was assigned 75 tasks within the framework of Resolution 57-NQ/TW and Decision No. 204.

Of which, Da Nang City has completed 32 tasks, reaching a rate of 42.7%, in the group of 5 most effective localities in the country. In particular, Da Nang only has 2 overdue tasks, the lowest rate in the country.

The city has also widely launched the "Digital education movement", a unique technology popularization model that helps people access digital knowledge and artificial intelligence.

Da Nang City is assessed by the Government and the Steering Committee for the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo as one of the 4 most effective localities in implementing digital transformation in the country, with synchronous results from the city to the grassroots level.

The digital learning portal deployed on both Zalo and Facebook applications with the "AI Population" section has posted 30 articles, 29 podcasts and 7 in-depth training videos.

Da Nang also organizes dozens of digital transformation training courses with nearly 2,000 grassroots-level officials participating; deploying more than 120 "Choke Youth Group under Project 06" (developing the application of population data, identification and electronic authentication services), helping nearly 300,000 people access digital technology and perform public services via the VNeID app.

As of mid-June 2025, the whole city has received more than 732 thousand level 2 electronic identification accounts, of which more than 703 thousand accounts have been activated.

These accounts have integrated insurance information, Citizen identification cards and healthcare, paving the way for medical examination and treatment without paper cards.

Or the "Digital Market" model has also helped traders in Da Nang pay cashless at most traditional markets. This model is strongly implemented with the youth force supporting people at the One-stop-shop departments in administrative procedures, identification, and electronic registration.

Notably, Da Nang City has started major projects such as IDC International Data Center in the High-Tech Park (investment capital for phase 1 is 800 billion VND, phase 2 is expected to be 1,200 billion VND); Viettel High-Tech Building (investment capital is about 3,000 billion VND), Seaborne Phosphate Cable Station...

In 2025, Da Nang City will increase by 130 places, ranking 766/1,000th in the global startup ecosystem, fastest in Vietnam. Da Nang City has formed 210 startups, including 16 businesses specializing in semiconductor microchips;

The city issued 6 Resolutions to support AI, semiconductor and startup businesses and has had 12 startup projects supported without refunds, with a total cost of 5 billion VND.
