On June 10, the 28th session (special session) of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Council voted to pass a resolution on the task of zoning and construction at a scale of 1/2,000 for the functional area on the top of Chua Chan mountain (Xuan Loc district).
According to the submission of the Provincial People's Committee, the above-mentioned functional area has an area of 250 hectares located in the area of 4 communes of Xuan Tho, Suoi Cai commune, Xuan Truong commune, Xuan Hiep commune and Gia Ray town (belonging to Xuan Loc district).
Chua Chan Mountain is about 837m high, with 4 streams flowing down from the top of the mountain including: Gia Ui, Gia Mien, Gia Lieu, Gia Lao; this place has a rich vegetation, many caves, many relics associated with the relic site.
In particular, the long-standing existence and development of the Cho Ro ethnic group (inative people) has preserved unique cultural features, these factors are favorable conditions for the development of eco-tourism as well as carrying out exploration and experience activities.
In addition, this place also preserves a system of pagodas built a long time ago, associated with history, which is one of the strengths to develop spiritual tourism.
The province has also had a plan to develop ecological urban areas and resort tourism in the Chua Chan mountain and Nui Le lake areas.
The approval of the submission of the construction zoning plan at a scale of 1/2,000 for the functional area on the top of Chua Chan mountain is the legal basis for planning and implementing the project.
According to the representative of Xuan Loc District People's Committee, if this tourist area is formed in the future, it will attract 1,000 people/day, with a peak of 10,000 people/day, contributing to the economic and tourism development of Xuan Loc District in particular and Dong Nai Province in general, while promoting tourism in the entire Southeast region along with Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh Province).
