In the period 2026-2030, Gia Lai province is expected to allocate more than 1,000 billion VND to invest in developing official housing and rental housing using public investment capital; and at the same time mobilize more than 238,000 billion VND from other resources.
By 2030, the province aims for an average housing floor area of about 34m2/person, of which urban areas are about 37m2/person and rural areas are about 32m2/person.
The total floor area for housing construction is expected to reach about 9.3 million m2, equivalent to about 49,322 units completed and put into use. Of which, commercial housing is about 8.4 million m2 with 33,822 units; social housing is about 726,000m2 with 12,107 units; housing for people's armed forces is about 171,000m2 with 3,120 units; resettlement housing is about 4,895m2 with 48 units and official housing is about 7,955m2 with 195 units.
In this period, Gia Lai continues to implement housing support policies according to the target program such as supporting people with meritorious services facing housing difficulties, poor households, near-poor households and households with houses in areas frequently affected by natural disasters and climate change.
The province strives to start more than 1 rental housing project using public investment capital. In case of arising needs and ensuring capital sources, the province strives to meet 100% of the demand for rental housing.
Gia Lai also focuses on developing commercial housing associated with rental housing, encouraging people to build multi-story individual houses and many apartments for rent according to regulations.
For concentrated digital technology zones, the province is interested in developing housing for experts and workers suitable to actual needs, contributing to attracting and retaining human resources and ensuring stable and effective operations.
To achieve these goals, Gia Lai focuses on completing housing policies; planning and developing land and housing funds according to projects; allocating capital sources, implementing preferential policies; reforming administrative procedures, developing the real estate market and applying science, technology, and new materials to reduce costs and lower housing prices...
According to Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, the plan aims to meet housing needs, especially for low-income people and policy beneficiaries; develop synchronous, sustainable housing in accordance with planning; improve living quality, balance supply and demand and contribute to stabilizing and healthy development of the real estate market.
