Xuan Dinh Ward (Hanoi City) is organizing direct investigation and survey of land plots of households and individuals related to the National History Museum and Friendship Park Construction Project, in order to ensure the progress and legality of site clearance work.
Representatives of Xuan Dinh Ward People's Committee said that the investigation and inventory work is an important step in the site clearance process, aiming to accurately determine the current status of land use and assets on land. This is the basis for building a transparent and regulated compensation, support, and resettlement plan.
According to people in alley 443 Pham Van Dong street (Xuan Dinh ward, Hanoi City), the "covered-up" project for decades has caused many difficulties in life; houses are degraded but cannot be repaired or rebuilt. People said they are willing to comply with the policy when the project is implemented. However, the resettlement plan needs to be appropriate, because households are living in the Ring Road 3 area; if resettlement is arranged outside Ring Road 3, it will have a lower value.

Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Dang Tien Dung - Deputy Director of the Xuan Dinh Ward Infrastructure Investment Project Management Board - said that the project was implemented from 2006. After completing the land clearance for agricultural land, the project was stuck in residential land, so it could not be continued. After the 2-level government model went into operation, the Hanoi People's Committee restarted the project. Through propaganda and mobilization, people whose land was recovered basically agreed.
Also according to Mr. Dung, the biggest difficulty currently is resettlement work. Xuan Dinh Ward People's Committee has reported to Hanoi City People's Committee, proposed a resettlement plan using residential land and has been approved to be arranged in a 14ha land area in Tay Tuu ward, with an area of 2.1ha serving the project.
According to the plan, households in the Pham Van Dong street area and neighboring alleys such as alley 443, alley 354 Tran Cung... will be counted in turn according to specific time frames. Grouping and arranging time is to ensure that the investigation work takes place scientifically, avoiding congestion, and creating favorable conditions for people to coordinate.

The Ward People's Committee requests relevant households and individuals to proactively arrange time, fully coordinate with functional forces to ensure that surveys, measurements, and inventory are carried out on schedule, contributing to accelerating the implementation of key projects in the area.
The project to build the National Museum of History and Friendship Park is expected to become an important cultural and historical highlight of the Capital, while creating a community living space, improving the quality of life of people in the area.
With the current measurement and inventory progress, land will be handed over to the project no later than June 30, 2026. If households do not comply, functional agencies will continue to mobilize and issue mandatory inventory decisions according to the provisions of law," Mr. Dung said.
