Hanoi - 62/94 households in Thanh Oai commune agreed to allocate land for the National Highway 21B expansion project. The commune is mobilizing the remaining households to comply with the land acquisition policy.

On May 25, Thanh Oai Commune People's Committee (Hanoi) had information on the progress of land acquisition and site clearance for the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 21B section from the beginning of Provincial Road 427 to Kim Bai town, Thanh Oai district (now Thanh Oai commune).

According to Thanh Oai Commune People's Committee, the project still has problems with 96 land plots of 94 households in Ba Hang Mai area, My Thuong village.

These are all cases with complex land use origins, existing through many periods, so the handling process faces many difficulties.

Faced with the urgent requirement for project implementation progress, in the past time, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Oai commune has focused on directing and organizing many propaganda and mobilization campaigns for households with land and assets on land within the project scope to coordinate in site clearance work.

With a spirit of responsibility, consensus and awareness for the common interests of the community, so far 62/94 households have voluntarily signed land handover minutes to serve project construction.

In particular, in the 3rd propaganda and mobilization phase held on May 24, 3 more households agreed to sign the land handover minutes.

Besides households that agreed and voluntarily handed over the land, there are still some households continuing to petition and propose related to rights and implementation plans.

There are 5 households that have signed the land handover minutes, but the households want to resolve the related requests thoroughly before handing over on the ground.

There are 8 households that although they have not signed the land handover minutes, the households have coordinated to work with the Working Group, signed working minutes, and stated specific opinions and recommendations.

Local authorities are continuing to consider and resolve according to the provisions of law to ensure the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people. After the contents are resolved satisfactorily, households will hand over the land for the project.
