At the end of March 2026, on social housing (NƠXH) construction sites in Lao Cai, the construction atmosphere was urgent and bustling.
Two key projects, Yen Ninh social housing and Binh Minh Northwest social housing, are being implemented simultaneously, gradually realizing the expectation of stable housing for low-income people and workers.
The Yen Ninh social housing project was approved for investment policy by the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 1795 dated October 30, 2025, invested by Hacom Lao Cai Investment Joint Stock Company, expected to be completed by the end of 2027.

The project is located in a convenient location, near GO! Lao Cai Trade Center and the intersection of Ly Thuong Kiet - Bach Lam streets (Au Lau ward), with a total area of more than 22,000m2.
The project has a total investment capital of approximately 864.7 billion VND, with a operating term of 50 years from the date of land allocation.
According to the design, the project includes 5 apartment buildings, providing 807 apartments, meeting the housing needs of more than 2,100 residents. When completed, this is expected to become a stable residence for thousands of workers and low-income workers in the area.
Records on March 25 show that the project is in the foundation construction phase. Many machines and manpower are mobilized to dig and transport large volumes of soil and rock, ensuring the set schedule.
As a worker working at a factory in Au Lau ward, Ms. Le Thu Hien expressed her desire to soon have the opportunity to own social housing.

My hometown is in Tram Tau, working far away, so I really need a stable place to live near my workplace. Social housing is affordable, so many workers like me want to access it soon," Ms. Hien shared.
Not far from the above area, on the right bank of the Red River, the Binh Minh Tay Bac social housing project is also being implemented with urgent progress.
The project is invested by Binh Minh Tay Bac Investment Joint Stock Company, expected to be implemented from Q4/2025 to Q3/2027.
The project is built on an area of over 24,000m2, including 6 7-story apartment buildings, with a total floor area of about 68,780m2. In particular, these 6 apartment buildings are implemented next to the Yen Bai Riverside Urban Area real estate project with a total investment of nearly 1,000 billion VND.
The project was granted a construction permit in March 2024 with a scale of 705 villas, townhouses and shophouses, built on a total area of 23.85 hectares, located on Bach Lam street, Au Lau ward.
According to information from the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Construction, the investor has announced the temporary selling price of the project at an average of 16.8 million VND/m2 used. This price includes value-added tax (VAT), not including maintenance costs.

It is expected that the project will start receiving applications to buy houses from the beginning of the first quarter of 2026, opening up more opportunities to access housing for low-income people in the area.
In addition to 2 projects being implemented in the central area of the province, in the Lao Cai city area (old), 3 social housing projects have also taken shape a long time ago. Names can be mentioned such as: Social housing project in the left bank of the Red River; Social housing project in the residential area adjacent to extended B6 road; Social housing project in Lam Vien area...
The simultaneous implementation of social housing projects in Lao Cai not only contributes to improving living conditions for workers, but also demonstrates the local determination to develop a sustainable housing fund, meeting the increasing housing needs.
It is known that Lao Cai province aims to build 8,000 social housing units, and has now completed 4,000 units, making an important contribution to improving the living conditions of people, especially low-income households and workers.
