On October 10, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hue City announced that the City People's Committee had issued a decision approving the starting price, deposit and price step at the second mineral exploitation rights auction in 2025.
Accordingly, 5 mineral mines were put up for auction, including: a regular stone mine for construction materials in the Thac Trinh area (Khe Tre commune) with an area of 3 hectares, starting price of more than 2.4 billion VND, deposit of more than 730 million VND; a soil mine for filling materials in Thuy Xuan ward (16.51ha) with starting price of more than 3.4 billion VND, deposit of more than 1.7 billion VND.
In Phu Bai ward, there are 3 land mines to be auctioned including: area 1 (17.03ha, starting price over 4.1 billion VND), area 2 (22.55ha, over 4 billion VND) and area 3 (19.82ha, over 7.4 billion VND). The total deposit for these mines is more than 7.7 billion VND.
Currently, Hue City has 32 mineral mines for common construction materials, including 18 stone mines and 13 filling mines, with a total area of over 153 hectares, the remaining reserve is about 20.6 million m3 and the exploitation capacity is estimated at 3 million m3 per year.
