According to the leader of the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province, Resolution No. 201/2025/QH15, of the National Assembly stipulates a pilot on a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of social housing and Resolution No. 155/NQ-CP of the Prime Minister, stipulates the assignment of the Provincial People's Committee based on actual conditions in the locality, issuing detailed regulations on cases where people with houses under their own but away from workplaces are considered for social housing support policies.
Based on relevant regulations, the Department of Construction will draft a draft to submit to the Provincial People's Committee to issue a decision detailing the case where a person with a house under his/her own but far from the workplace is considered for social housing support policies in Khanh Hoa province according to a shortened order and procedure, in accordance with local actual conditions.
This is also the basis for creating a legal corridor, resolving housing for cadres and civil servants who have to move to work due to the arrangement of the two-level local government apparatus, merging Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces.
According to the proposed draft, in case of having a house of one's own but 30 km or more away from the workplace, they will enjoy social housing support policies according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 9 of Resolution No. 201/2025/QH15.
The distance is determined by the length of the shortest road and waterway route from the house owned by the subject registered to buy or rent-purchase social housing to the workplace of that subject.
The decision is expected to be issued by Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee in June and take effect from July 1, 2025 to May 31, 2030.
The results of the synthesis of social housing needs of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Khanh Hoa Department of Construction from May 2024 to April 2025 have 3,340 registrations.
Currently, Khanh Hoa only has 1 social housing project open for sale and lease with 182 apartments. It is expected that from now until the end of 2025, the Social Housing project in Cam Nghia ward, Cam Ranh city will complete 1,142 apartments/3,565 apartments.
There are 5 projects that are being actively implemented by the locality with investors, namely the Hung Phu II social housing project (Vinh Hai ward, Nha Trang city), with a land area of 6,895m2, expected scale of about 30 floors, with 1,200 apartments.
The An Binh Tan Urban Area Social Housing Project (Phuoc Long Ward, Nha Trang City) has an area of 20,670m2, expected scale of 12 floors, with 1,500 apartments; the Hoang Long Urban Area Social Housing Project (Phuoc Long Ward) has an area of over 11,309m2, expected scale of about 9 - 12 floors, with about 900 apartments.
OXH 02 Social Housing Project (No. 10 Truong Son Street, Vinh Nguyen Ward, Nha Trang City) with an area of over 13,000m2, accommodating about 4,100 people. Construction is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2025 and be completed by the end of the second quarter of 2027.
