Recorded on September 23, the planned area of Cam Duong Industrial Park is located in a convenient traffic space connecting with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway and roads towards the border gate area, creating advantages for industrial, logistics and service development.
Mr. Nguyen Van Bac, a resident of Cam Duong ward, said that when the industrial park comes into operation, people, especially young people, will have more job choices without having to leave their hometown.
People hope the project will be implemented smoothly, but also hope for early preparation so that affected households can switch livelihoods. If there is appropriate vocational training, children in the area will also have more opportunities to work in the industrial park later," Mr. Bac shared.
At the project announcement conference on September 18, along with work, the issue of particular concern to many households was housing and life after land acquisition.
Some households want the resettlement plan to be specifically calculated, especially for cases where they have to move houses.
The arrangement of new accommodation, according to people, needs to consider living conditions, transportation and the ability to continue doing business, instead of just stopping at having one place to live.
According to the announced plan, Cam Duong Industrial Park has a total investment of 1,996 billion VND, implemented in 51 months, from the third quarter of 2026 to the fourth quarter of 2030. The project is invested by Le Premium Investment Joint Stock Company.
The project is divided into 2 phases, of which phase 1 is implemented on an area of 90ha and phase 2 is 106.3ha.
When put into operation, the project is expected to create about 8,000 - 10,000 jobs. This is considered one of the notable impacts on the local labor market.
Not only work in factories, the development of industrial parks can also lead to demand for transportation, food, accommodation and many other types of services.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Duy Tuyen, Vice Chairman of Cam Duong Ward People's Committee, said that people are quite excited to know that a large-scale industrial park will be formed in the area.
According to Mr. Tuyen, what people are most interested in and expecting is that the project will be implemented soon, creating more jobs, especially for local workers.
This is a large-scale project, when put into operation, it is expected to create thousands of jobs. Local people will have more job opportunities, and services such as transportation, food, accommodation, and small businesses will also have conditions to develop," Mr. Tuyen said.
According to the Vice Chairman of Cam Duong Ward People's Committee, besides expectations of new opportunities, the locality determines that ensuring the rights and stabilizing the lives of people in the project area is an issue that needs to be concerned about from the beginning.
