On January 6, the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Lam Dong province said that Ham Kiem II Industrial Park (IP) has currently attracted 18 investment projects, creating jobs for about 4,552 workers.
This is one of the IPs with the fastest occupancy rate and labor growth in the eastern region of Lam Dong province.
Along with developing production infrastructure, Ham Kiem II Industrial Park is planned as a large-scale social housing area for workers, in order to solve the housing problem for workers and laborers.

The social housing project for workers has an area of more than 31ha. The project is invested by Binh Tan Investment Joint Stock Company, approved from the time it was still in Binh Thuan province (old).
According to the plan, this residential area is not simply apartment blocks but is synchronously invested in social infrastructure.
The project includes 20 apartment blocks, 58 detached houses, 3 kindergartens, 1 primary school, 1 secondary school, a people's market, 2 sports courts, a general clinic, a cultural house and a playground...

When completed, the housing area can accommodate about 18,000 people, forming a complete worker residential area right next to the production area.
Over the past time, the investor has implemented the construction of the first B2 apartment block, including 1 basement and 9 above-ground floors, with 306 apartments.
This building block has been basically completed and is expected to be put into use in the second quarter of 2026, providing about 1,200 accommodations for workers and laborers working in the IP.

This is information that a large number of workers are expecting. Because in reality, most workers at Ham Kiem II Industrial Park have to rent rooms in surrounding residential areas. Therefore, living conditions are still limited, rental costs are increasing, and the travel distance is far.
Ms. Le Thi Diem Diem - a member of the grassroots Trade Union of Right Rich International Co., Ltd. - said that social housing projects are a great desire of many workers.
If there are houses near the workplace, reasonable prices, and preferential loans, workers will be much more assured. No need to worry about rising rents, children going to school far away or working hard in the rain and shine," Ms. Diem shared.

According to the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Lam Dong province, the process of implementing social housing projects for workers still faces some difficulties. The adjustment of planning related to the trade union institution project with an area of 3.45ha in the housing area has affected the progress.
The investor has reviewed and proposed adjusting the progress and is expected to complete the entire project in the second quarter of 2030.
Faced with the above situation, the Industrial Zones Management Board proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider adjusting the investment policy, creating conditions for investors to remove obstacles and accelerate the project progress.
The early completion of the social housing area not only contributes to solving the housing needs of workers but is also an important factor in attracting and retaining workers in the context of increasingly fierce labor competition between industrial parks.
