Can Tho City People's Committee has just issued a Decision on the completion of the Land Price List Appraisal Council in Can Tho City (abbreviated as Council), chaired by Mr. Duong Tan Hien - Permanent Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee; Director of the Department of Finance is Vice Chairman of the Council.
The Council for activities and appraisal of land price lists according to the provisions of the 2024 Land Law, Decree No. 71/2024/ND-CP dated June 27, 2024 of the Government regulating land prices and guiding documents for implementation; Conduct periodic and surprise reports as required to the City People's Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee on performing assigned tasks.
The Department of Finance is the Standing agency of the Council, responsible for presiding over and coordinating with members of the Council to advise the Chairman of the Council to establish and strengthen the Council's Working Group according to regulations; and is allowed to use civil servants of the agency to perform tasks related to the Council's activities.
The working council is independent, objective, under a collective regime, decided by majority; the Chairman and members are personally responsible for their opinions. Council meetings must have a record of all discussion opinions, voting results, stored with documents for the meeting and written opinions of Council members.
Council members work part-time. The Chairman of the Council uses the seal of the City People's Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Council uses the seal of the Department of Finance during the performance of assigned tasks.
The Council's operating budget is arranged in the annual state budget estimate of the Department of Finance. The Department of Finance is responsible for spending and settling funds to ensure compliance with current laws.
