On July 9, according to PV's investigation, recently, Lai Chau Provincial People's Council issued a resolution on the list of land plots for bidding to select investors to implement land-using investment projects in the province.
Resolution replacing Resolution No. 14/NQ-HDND dated April 22, 2025 and Resolution No. 66/NQ-HDND dated September 26, 2025 of the Provincial People's Council issued earlier.
According to the resolution, the list includes 16 land plots allocated in many localities, aiming to complete the technical infrastructure and social infrastructure system, meeting the socio-economic development requirements of the province in the coming period.
In the field of urban development and housing, many large-scale projects are included in the list such as the Southern Urban Area (Tan Phong ward) with an area of 80 hectares.

Rural residential area in Tan Uyen commune with an area of 65.77 ha; New urban area of Thong Nhat village (Binh Lu commune) 40 ha; Central rural residential area of Nam So commune 26 ha; New urban area of Tan Hop village (Binh Lu commune) 20 ha and Rural residential area in Pac Ta commune 7.76 ha.
The list also includes many essential infrastructure projects such as water plants in Muong Than and Muong Kim communes, solid waste treatment facilities in Than Uyen and Binh Lu communes, and waste treatment plants in Tan Phong ward.
In addition, the province calls for investment in building the central market of Than Uyen commune, the central market of Doan Ket ward, Quyet Thang market, Tan Uyen Private General Hospital and Non-Public Vocational Secondary School in Doan Ket ward.
According to the plan, most of the projects will be organized for bidding and implementation in the 2026-2030 period.
In which, large-scale projects such as the Southern Urban Area and the Rural Residential Area in Tan Uyen commune are expected to be implemented in the period 2028-2030.
The Provincial People's Council assigned the Provincial People's Committee to organize the implementation of the resolution; the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Boards of the People's Council and the delegates of the Provincial People's Council to supervise according to regulations.
