Lao Cai breaks ground on 6 social housing buildings

The Binh Minh Social Housing Project in the Northwest is located on Yen Bai Riverside project land with a total area of 24,668.7m2, population of about 1,630 people, including 6 7-storey buildings: 660 apartments.

Each apartment has an area of about 70m2, 2 bedrooms; 2m wide corridor, elevator with internal infrastructure such as parking lot, internal yard and landscape trees...

At the same time, after the completion of the Binh Minh Northwest social housing area, residents here will also be able to use all internal utilities of the Yen Bai Riverside project.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Tran Huy Tuan emphasized: In recent years, Lao Cai province has always identified developing social housing as an important political task, aiming to ensure social security and improve the lives of people, especially workers, laborers and low-income people. In particular, in the context of the province implementing the arrangement and merger of administrative units, many cadres, civil servants and public employees have to change their workplaces and move away from their places of residence.

The Binh Minh Social Housing Project in the Northwest therefore has practical significance in creating stable and favorable housing conditions for cadres, civil servants and public employees to work with peace of mind and stay with agencies, units and localities for a long time.

In the coming time, Lao Cai province will continue to improve the investment environment, review land funds, simplify administrative procedures, encourage businesses to participate in investing in building social housing, to meet the urgent needs of the people; at the same time, ensure accommodation for cadres, civil servants, and public employees who have to change their workplaces after the merger of administrative units; contribute to the successful implementation of the target of 1 million apartments assigned by the Prime Minister, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan informed.
